You’ll start your journey with a visit to the Bunbury Dolphin Discovery Centre for a delightful boat cruise, followed by a scenic train ride on the iconic Busselton Jetty.
On the second day, you’ll wake up to a coffee tasting at Yahava Koffeeworks, before we head to Howard Park to taste their biodynamic wines and gourmet meats and cheeses. At Cape Mentelle there will be a sumptuous, seated wine tasting and a visit to the barrel room before we whisk you away to a three-course lunch at Vasse Felix, one of WA’s Top 50 Restaurants. We'll conclude the day at Passel Estate where you'll experience their elegant, award winning wines.
The final day begins with a guided tour of Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, an exploration of Mammoth Cave, and a trip down Prevelly Beach to soak up some stunning views. Next, we’ll get up close and personal with birds of prey at Capes Raptor Centre and indulge in artisan chocolates at Temper Temper Chocolate Cowaramup. The tour ends with a relaxing drive back to Perth, with a convenient drop-off at your accommodation.

Busselton Jetty is one of the most iconic WA attractions and is famously the longest wooden jetty in the southern hemisphere. Here you can hop aboard the charming red train and enjoy a scenic ride along the 1.8 km stretch to the jetty’s end. You can also explore the local ocean life at the Underwater Observatory–one of only six in the world! Located in the coastal city of Bunbury, the Dolphin Discovery Centre offers a unique and interactive experience with some of the ocean's most charismatic inhabitants. The centre is dedicated to the conservation and study of dolphins and their environment, providing visitors with a chance to learn about these fascinating creatures up close.
The adventure begins with a visit to the interpretive centre, where you can explore exhibits that offer insightful information into dolphin behaviour, their coastal habitat, and the marine ecosystem. One of the main highlights of the Dolphin Discovery Centre is the Interaction Zone, allowing you to meet these friendly creatures up close in their natural habitat. After exploring the centre and enjoying a dolphin encounter, we’ll head to the on-site cafe to relax and enjoy a light lunch.
After lunch, we’ll embark on a serene eco-cruise through Koombana Bay. The knowledgeable guides on board are there to share fascinating insights into dolphin behaviour and the local marine environment. This stop is sure to be one of the many highlights of your trip!
Mammoth Cave, located within the Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park, is a large limestone cave that features vast chambers adorned with impressive stalactites and stalagmites, creating a breathtaking subterranean wonderland. This natural time capsule is home to ancient fossil remains of long-extinct megafauna, offering a fascinating glimpse into the region's prehistoric past.
While being one of many caves in Western Australia, Mammoth Cave is one of the more accessible tourist caves in the region. Visitors can explore its vast chambers and delicate crystal formations on a self-guided tour, where well-lit pathways, informative audio guides, and accessible boardwalks bring the cave's rich history to life.
Start your journey with a convenient pick-up from your accommodation in Perth, and head south towards Margaret River.
Our first rest stop is at the Ampol Roadhouse, where you can grab a coffee or a snack (guest expense) to fuel up for the adventure ahead.
To break up the long drive, we’ll stop in Bunbury at the Dolphin Discovery Centre up close and personal with wild dolphins in their natural habitat. We’ll also enjoy a light lunch before embarking on a serene Dolphin Eco Cruise in Koombana Bay.
Next, we will visit Busselton to take the jetty train to the end of Busselton Jetty, the longest wooden jetty in the southern hemisphere. You will explore the Underwater Observatory to marvel at the vibrant marine life and stunning artificial reef.
We will continue south to Margaret River and check in at your pre-arranged accommodation at Margaret’s in Town. Enjoy an evening meal at La-Scarpetta Trattoria, conveniently located within walking distance of your accommodation.

Starting your day with a visit to Yahava Koffeeworks will be the perfect energiser for your upcoming adventure. We’ll begin with a coffee-tasting experience, enjoying a variety of coffee blends and learning about the origins and roasting processes of their famous brews.
Next, we’ll visit Howard Park Winery in Margaret River, Western Australia. Here, you’ll explore their exquisite varietals and learn about their commitment to sustainable and eco-friendly practices. Enjoy a tasting of their exceptional wines, perfectly paired with a seasonal grazing board, and experience firsthand their dedication to quality and sustainability.
Our next winery stop is Peacetree Estate, where you will enjoy a premium wine and cheese tasting. Tucked away in the heart of Cowaramup, this cosy boutique winery specialises in turning the finest local fruits into small batches of truly unique wines.
Next up is Vasse Felix, Margaret River’s founding wine estate established in 1967. Here, you’ll get to indulge in an exceptional wine tasting followed by a gourmet three-course lunch at their chef-hatted restaurant, also paired with two glasses of premium wine.
To finish the day, we head to Passel Estate with the most classical of culinary pairings. Each of Passel Estates core wines is paired with a delectable taste of handmade, farmhouse cheese from a local producer, Cambray Cheese in Nannup, with each cheese chosen to perfectly balance and enhance the qualities of its matching wine.
We’ll end the first day with a comfortable stay at Margarets In Town Apartments to enjoy an evening meal (not included) and unwind in your cosy accommodation in preparation for tomorrow’s adventures!
We’ll head back to the Kingston Bakery Cafe for another delicious brekkie (guest expense), before picking up your luggage in preparation for the journey home
First up on the adventure agenda is a visit to Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse where we will have an informative guided tour of the lighthouse's history and heritage and enjoy a stunning panoramic view where the Southern and Indian Oceans meet.
Next, we’ll continue the discovery part of our journey with a self-guided tour of Mammoth Cave. This tour will be equipped with an audio set to aid you in your exploration of this ancient wonder and give you an educational glimpse into the cave's prehistoric past.
We’ll stop and take a beat at the viewing area above Prevelly Beach to soak up some stunning ocean views before heading off to lunch at the White Elephant Café (guest expense).
Now it’s time to get up close and personal with birds of prey at Capes Raptor Centre. Here you’ll have the chance to interact with eagles, hawks, falcons, and owls and see how they behave in their natural habitat.
No trip to Margaret River is complete without visiting Vasse Virgin. Here you’ll get to explore their natural olive oil skincare products and gourmet foods, and pick up some delightful treats to take home.
We’ll round off this epicurean adventure with a delicious stop at Temper Temper Chocolate in Cowaramup to taste various artisan chocolates, learn about their chocolate-making practices and pick up a coffee for the trip back to Perth.
We will make another rest stop at Ampol Roadhouse for a coffee or snack (guest expense) before heading back to Perth. We’ll take you back to your accommodation in Perth, concluding your three-day adventure in Margaret River!
