Located in the coastal city of Bunbury, the Dolphin Discovery Centre offers a unique and interactive experience with some of the ocean's most charismatic inhabitants. The centre is dedicated to the conservation and study of dolphins and their environment, providing visitors with a chance to learn about these fascinating creatures up close.
The adventure begins with a visit to the interpretive centre, where you can explore exhibits that offer insightful information into dolphin behaviour, their coastal habitat, and the marine ecosystem. One of the main highlights of the Dolphin Discovery Centre is the Interaction Zone, allowing you to meet these friendly creatures up close in their natural habitat. After exploring the centre and enjoying a dolphin encounter, we’ll head to the on-site cafe to relax and enjoy a light lunch.
After lunch, we’ll embark on a serene eco-cruise through Koombana Bay. The knowledgeable guides on board are there to share fascinating insights into dolphin behaviour and the local marine environment. This stop is sure to be one of the many highlights of your trip!
Busselton Jetty is one of the most iconic WA attractions and is famously the longest wooden jetty in the southern hemisphere. Here you can hop aboard the charming red train and enjoy a scenic ride along the 1.8 km stretch to the jetty’s end. You can also explore the local ocean life at the Underwater Observatory–one of only six in the world! Bustleton is full of vibrant marine life, colourful coral reefs and over 300 different marine species just waiting to be discovered!

To break up the long drive, we’ll stop in Bunbury at the Dolphin Discovery Centre up close and personal with wild dolphins in their natural habitat. We’ll also enjoy a light lunch before embarking on a serene Dolphin Eco Cruise in Koombana Bay.
Next, we visit the picturesque Busselton where we’ll ride the jetty train to the end of the Busselton Jetty, and descend into the Underwater Observatory to marvel at the vibrant marine life and stunning artificial reef.
We’ll end the first day with a comfortable stay at Margaret’s In Town and unwind in your cosy accommodation in preparation for tomorrow’s adventures!

Yahava is the first stop on our trip so that our guests can help themselves to a much-needed morning pick-me-up! We’ll begin with a coffee-tasting experience, taste a variety of coffee blends and learn about the origins and roasting processes of these delicious brews.
Next, we’ll visit McHenry Hohnen to explore their sustainable and eco-friendly practices. You’ll have the chance to taste their exceptional wines paired with local meats and cheeses and experience their dedication to quality and sustainability.
Brown Hill Estate is your next wine-tasting stop. Here, you will get to observe their winemaking processes, tour the barrel room, and learn more about the history of the winery all while indulging in a sumptuous tasting of their finest drops.
Lunch will be at the Nookery Cafe, where you'll savour a two-course feast paired with a glass of wine. After lunch, you will have a sumptuous seated wine tasting in the gallery, exploring the unique offerings of Woody Nook Wines.
For dessert, we’ll pop over to the iconic Margaret River Chocolate Factory. You will have the chance to taste chocolate that is freshly made here in the Margaret River region and learn all about their chocolate-making process.
No trip to Margaret River is complete without visiting Vasse Virgin. Here you’ll get to explore their natural olive oil skincare products and gourmet foods, and pick up some delightful treats to take home.
We’ll change things up the pace a bit with a visit to The Servo Taphouse, Cowaramup, a small bar with a big focus on international craft beer and local live music, where you can enjoy a pint of delicious craft beer.
We’ll end the day with a light takeaway dinner from The Goose Busselton (guest expense). This local hotspot is conveniently located next to a beautiful park and just a short walk from the pier, giving you ample opportunity to enjoy the surroundings before heading back for the day.
We will make another rest stop at Ampol Roadhouse for a coffee or snack (guest expense) before heading back to Perth. We’ll take you back to your accommodation in Perth, concluding your two-day adventure in Margaret River!
